Giants Beat Tiffin Columbian 4-1

Little Giants Strike Four Times In Victory Over Tiffin Columbian
The Fremont Ross boys soccer team picked up an important victory with a 4-1 win over Tiffin Columbian, putting together a strong offensive performance and earning a valuable win against a team in its state tournament bracket.
The Little Giants got things started with 17:26 remaining in the first half when Logan Wensinger found the back of the net off an assist from Carson Lewis, giving Ross the early advantage.
Wensinger wasn't finished.
With 6:39 remaining before halftime, he struck again for his second goal of the match, this time off an assist from Jalen Wolverton, sending the Little Giants into the break with momentum.
“While we did not play our cleanest game, a win is a win and we will take it,” Head Coach Coressel said. “We have to keep making strides each game, and more wins will come.”
Ross continued to apply pressure in the second half. With 15:25 remaining in the match, Lewis went from setting up goals to scoring one of his own, finding the back of the net to add to the Little Giants' lead.
Jeffrey Cung rounded out the scoring for Fremont Ross, putting the finishing touches on the 4-1 victory.
Beyond adding another win to the season, the result could prove important when postseason seeding arrives.
“It is great to get a win against a team in our state tournament bracket,” Coressel said. “It will help us with seeding in the near future.”
The Little Giants will look to build on the victory with a quick turnaround as they return to action tomorrow at Clay.
Keep building, Little Giants!
