Lady Giants Shine And Claim Title, Boys Runner-Up At Bobcat Invitational

The Fremont Ross boys and girls track teams made a strong statement Friday night as they traveled to Bowling Green to compete in the Duff Madaras Bobcat Invitational, squaring off against a competitive field that included Findlay, Liberty-Benton, Oak Harbor, Bowling Green, Defiance, Wauseon, and Genoa.
The Lady Giants delivered an outstanding performance, capturing the overall team championship, while the boys team battled to an impressive runner-up finish, just behind Liberty-Benton.
It was a record-setting night for Fremont Ross, highlighted by several standout performances. Braxtyn Jordan continued her dominant season by setting a meet record in the girls 200m (25.68) and also played a key role in the record-breaking 4x200m relay alongside Ashtyn Marsee, Kamaya Jones, and Lexie Nelson (1:46.46). On the boys side, the sprint relay team of Ty Brown, Mason Englund, Jace Miller, and Stephen Reiter electrified the track with a meet record in the 4x100m (43.22).
The Lady Giants piled up victories across multiple events. Braxtyn Jordan also took first in the 100m, while Lily Kiser dominated distance races, winning both the 1600m and 3200m. The 4x100m relay team of Daisha Bulger, Kamaya Jones, Lexie Nelson, and Jordan sprinted to another first-place finish. In the field events, Kilee Kidd soared to victory in the high jump, and Ryla Smith captured first in the discus.
The boys team also had several first-place finishes. Stephen Reiter claimed the 100m title, Gabe Wensinger powered to a win in the 400m, and Mason Englund took first in the high jump, contributing valuable points to the team’s runner-up finish.
Head Coach Booze was pleased with the overall effort, noting that the team had “a great performance with lots of medalists and point scorers.” He emphasized that many athletes are performing at or near their season bests, which is exactly what the coaching staff hopes to see early in the season. He also added that the meet provided valuable competition, as many of the teams in attendance will be familiar opponents at both the NLL and District meets later this year.
With record-breaking performances, multiple event wins, and strong team finishes on both sides, it was a tremendous night for Fremont Ross Track and Field. The Little Giants continue to build momentum as the season progresses.
Great work, Little Giants!
